The Masters section is a new section of the Academic Sports Center of the Gdańsk University of Technology which is preparing for participation in swimming competitions.

Organizers: the Academic Sports Center of the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Open Gdańsk University of Technology. The partner of the Masters Section is AZS Organizacja Środowiskowa Gdańsk.

The masters competition in swimming is a competition that is organized as part of the activities of the Polish Swimming Federation .

The trainings and competitions are open to people associated with the Gdańsk University of Technology - students, doctoral students, employees, retired employees and members of the GUT Alumni Association. It will be the first section in Poland based on members of one University.

The condition for enrollment in the Masters Section is the ability to swim at least 3 styles: crawl, classic and backstroke and a declaration of participation in at least one competition in the colors of the Gdańsk University of Technology.

Participation in training is free of charge, it is required to create an AZS ID and obtain a PZP license.

Trainings will take place twice a week - on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 20:00 to 21:20 (in April 2021, Tuesday trainings will last 40 minutes) and will be conducted by the coach of AZS PG section - Emilia Miszewska and a long-term representative of our university - Agata Maciesza.

The training plan was prepared by Alicja Pęczak-Graczyk - the most versatile competitor in the history of Polish swimming (swimming in all styles), 5-time medalist of the World Championships in a 25-meter swimming pool, holder of over 300 medals at national and international events.
